"I have been training with weights for the last 6 years but felt that I had never fulfilled the look that I wanted. I was becoming exceedingly confused and irritated after reading all the different fitness magazines and visiting fitness forums on the internet, I felt a little lost and needed direction. Having tried most of the routines that are branded around I never seemed to make any progress. I have also spent thousands of pounds on supplements over the years which have not helped me achieve my goal.
I decided to approach Micky in May 2009 after I had come across his name being mentioned on fitness forums, and I must admit I haven’t looked back since.

My first assessment gave Micky a good idea of my current health and physical activity levels including weight and blood pressure. He then set out a detailed individual training programme to help develop my fitness and ultimately allow me to achieve my goal - to lose body fat and gain muscle. I have made outstanding progress in the last 6 months, more than I did in the six years I have been going to the gym.
During my first 6 months my programme has changed to add variety that meets my goals. Throughout this period Micky has ensured my technique is spot on in order to avoid injury and allow the muscles to be worked 100%. He constantly keeps a record of all my sessions to evaluate my progress. He can also tell when the pressures of life are brought into the gym and he is always willing to listen!
Micky is very helpful during and away from training, he has allowed me to borrow his books and dvd’s on fitness. He keeps in contact with me and is always asking about how I feel about my progress. To date my progress has been… starting weight was 14st 4lbs and after 6 months my weight is down by 18lbs, I look leaner and feel so much more confident.
I do a round trip of 80 miles to train with Micky at least 3 times a week, and the knowledge and progress I have achieved has made every mile of this journey worth it.
I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Micky to anyone that has a goal they wish to achieve, whether it be losing weight, toning your muscles, regaining confidence, he’s the man to contact. I hope to continue using Micky throughout 2010."

"I started training with Micky in April 2004. When I first went to an assessment, he conducted a full review of my current health and physical activity levels including weight and blood pressure. He then set out a detailed training and dietary regime and started developing my fitness.
During a period of 3 months, the programme was changed on several occasions to maintain interest, variety and to meet my goals. Throughout this period, Micky sought to ensure my techniques and breathing were always correct and that I pushed myself to new levels of fitness. "I found Micky through the Internet when I was looking for a personal trainer, and after giving him a call decided to go along for an initial assessment. I had no personal recommendations from anyone so did not know what to expect from Micky and his facilities. My first impression was of how professional the assessment was and how well he explained what he was looking to find out from the questions and basic test that we went through.
After discussing what I wanted to achieve from visiting him, he was able to design a training programme to suit my needs. I have now been training with Micky for 8 months and have to say that I am thoroughly enjoying myself. When I started I gave myself 12 months to get into shape, so that by that time I reached my 40th birthday, I would be fit, healthy and in shape. My objective was not really to lose weight, but to shape and tone so that I looked and felt better.
In the 8 months that I have been working out, I have lost about 6lbs (which is an added bonus) - but more importantly I have improved what I looked like by losing a total of 18 inches from various places. Another great benefit has also been the shifting of the dreaded cellulite from around my bum and thigh due to the leg work we have done. We have worked through 3 different training programmes in my time so far, and are just about to start a 4th one next week.
Micky has made a conscious effort to make sure that the exercises are those that will benefit me most, and have the best effect on what we are trying to achieve. He has listened to any concerns I have had about various body parts and has always explained why we are doing something and what the exercise will do. I was put on to Mick McKay just over eighteen months ago by a friend who happens to be a boxing instructor, we were having a discussion about losing weight and getting fit.
